The Kapitari Center is located close to the village of Manacamiri which is about 5 miles from the center of Iquitos across the Nanay River.

However, you don’t need to worry about finding us. We will always meet you in the center of Iquitos

How do I get to Iquitos?

Iquitos is in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, with no roads leading to it. It can be reached by boat, but we don’t recommend that option. The best way to get to Iquitos is to fly here from Lima, the capital of Peru. The best, most reliable airline is LATAM.

When should I arrive in Iquitos?

We recommend that you arrive in Iquitos at least 1 day before your retreat starts. We can recommend the best hotels to stay in and arrange a pickup from the airport.

What is ayahuasca?

Ayahuasca is a potent plant medicine revered for its profound spiritual and healing properties. Crafted by combining the Ayahuasca vine and the chacruna plant, it has been utilized for generations by indigenous Amazonian cultures. When ingested in ceremonial settings, Ayahuasca induces altered states of consciousness, often accompanied by vivid visions, emotional catharsis, and introspection. This sacred brew acts as a spiritual tool, allowing participants to access higher dimensions of awareness and facilitating transformative experiences.

Is Ayahuasca legal?

The legality of Ayahuasca varies worldwide. In Peru, where indigenous cultures have long used it, it’s legal for traditional and religious purposes.
